Digital photos wanted

Mrs. Enos has graciously offered to put together a photo book about Prospect Elementary that I may take to the Xiaogan Primary School. We are accepting digital photos which may be included in this book. If you feel you have photos which may benefit this book, please email them or store them on some other type of electronic media and submit them for consideration. More preparations for the trip.

I am searching for items to take from Oberlin and Prospect Elementary for gifts. I will not be able to take many heavy items due to weight restrictions of the airlines. If you remember, Mr. Li brought artwork from his students. It would be nice if we could return the favor and take some Prospect artwork to China. If any Prospect Students are interested in donating artwork to Mr. Li's school in Xiaogan, let Mrs. Hilton know. You are welcome to post comments to this entry for ideas to take for gifts.

My China trip Itinerary

Sunday, April 10    *  Leave Cleveland airport at 8:30 am for Chicago.  Depart Chicago at 12:15 pm for Beijing.  Arrive in Beijing 2:40 pm April 11th.   Total miles traveled = 6579!!! The plane is a Boeing 777

Monday, April 11  * Evening dinner near the hotel in Beijing and explore Beijing.

Tuesday, April 12   * AM meetings on Chinese Education and Reform by the (Chinese Ministry of Education).
                                 * Afternoon touring of Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City
                                 * Welcome dinner by CEAIE


Wednesday, April 13  * Morning workshop on the role of principal, Curriculum and examination system, moral education, and mental and physical health in school, educational reform at a high school
                                    * Afternoon: Visit to a migrant worker children school
                                    * Evening:  Dinner in duck restaurant.

Thursday,  April 14   * Morning workshop on Chinese Society Change and its impact on Chinese education system at Beijing Normal university.
                                    * Shopping at Hong Qiao market

Friday,  April 15       *  Morning and afternoon: Tour the Great Wall
                                  *  Evening:  optional dinner on my own with more exploration of Beijing

Saturday, April 16    * Morning:  tour the Temple of Heaven
                                  * Afternoon: Departing for my Shadowing school in Xiaogan

Sunday, April 17-21  *Shadowing at the Xiaogan Experimental Primary School in the Hubei Province with Principal Li.

Friday, April 22     * Morning:  Travel to Shanghai to reunite with the administrator exchange group from the states.
                                * Afternoon: Debriefing meeting with the administrator exchange group on our shadowing school experience
                                * Evening:  Dinner in Shanghai

Saturday, April 23   * Morning:  Tour of Xintiandi, Party Museum
                                 * Afternoon:  Tour and shopping in Yu Yuan
                                 * Evening:  Dinner optional and on my own in Shanghai

Sunday, April 24     * Depart for the USA. from Shanghai at 3:55pm arrive in Chicago at 4:32pm. Depart Chicago at 7:38pm and arrive in Cleveland at 9:48pm.  Total travel miles = 7056 in a Boeing 777and arrive in Cleveland the same evening!!! 

The China trip is coming up rather quickly.

On April 10th I will be boarding a plane in Cleveland for Chicago. In Chicago I will meet up with ten other administrators from Ohio bound for China.
